If you smell Gas

Natural Gas is odorized by a chemical called Mercaptan which adds a distinctive rotten egg or sulphur like smell to help you detect any leaks.

Natural gas is one of the safest and most reliable fuels available. It has a higher combustion temperature than other fuels. Combustion cannot occur unless a narrow range of fuel-to-air (5 to 15 per cent) mixture is present. However, natural gas can still be dangerous if not leaks are not handled properly.
